Field Guide (East Africa)

GUIDING · MAASAI MARA, KENYA (ON-SITE) · FULL-TIME, SEASONAL · 5+ YEARS

Lead small groups through the Maasai Mara conservancies, combining wildlife knowledge with the judgment to read a group's pace and interest. This is a field-based role, resident at camp during the season, working alongside our Nairobi operations team.

What you would do

• —Lead daily game drives and walking excursions for groups of up to eight guests
• —Brief guests on conservancy etiquette, safety, and wildlife behaviour
• —Coordinate with camp management on vehicle scheduling and guest logistics
• —Maintain sightings records and share seasonal wildlife patterns with the design team
• —Represent SOAR's standards during multi-day migration-season departures

What we are looking for

• —KPSGA silver or gold guiding qualification, or equivalent
• —5+ years professional guiding experience in East African conservancies
• —Excellent spoken English; Swahili and Maa both a strong advantage
• —Valid professional driving permit for safari vehicles
• —Comfortable with a resident, on-site seasonal posting
